Journalist, activist, pacifist and author Dorothy Day founded the Catholic Worker movement to put into practice Catholic social teaching. and promote steps to bring about the peaceful transformation of society. A tireless advocate for women, the poor, and the disenfranchised, she was deeply committed to civil rights and social justice. As founder of the Dorothy Day Center in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, presenter Father Gabriel Zeis will share his deep understanding of Dorothy Day’s life and mission during this evening program.
