Gaza support demonstration in St. Petersburg

As an occupying force, Israel is attempting to justify killing more than 400 Palestinians–a quarter of which are civilian–because of homemade rocket attacks that killed two Israelis in the past 12 months. Palestinians are legally allowed to resist an occupying force. The initial Israeli attack occurred while thousands of Palestinian children were walking home from school. An 18-month-long U.S. backed blockade has left victims in Gaza without proper medical supplies and necessities to attend to the wounded and the morgues have no more room for the dead. Meanwhile, American leadership remains either immorally silent or blames Palestinians for the attack.

Join ANSWER, Rise Up Tampa Bay, St. Pete for Peace and others as we peacefully protest the illegal occupation and murderous Israeli bombing of Gaza.  The protest will take place in front of Baywalk, located at 2nd Ave. and 2nd St., N in downtown St. Petersburg (map).  Directions from Tampa: Take I-275 South; Merge onto I-375E via Exit 23A on the Left toward BayWalk/The Pier; Stay Left on 4th Avenue N; Turn Right onto 2nd Street N; Turn Left onto 2nd Avenue N.   Paid parking is available across the street from Baywalk (entrance on 2nd Street N) (map).  (Some 90-minute street parking is also available).
