Beauty (a poem)

Beauty, just a duty, just something real to feel its seal and appeal to heal and peel away, the fray of dismay in our day, but a way to say there’s hope to cope, not grope thru life and it’s strife, rife with struggling, juggling the demand   at hand to comand the hour and take power, but wait, anticipate each date as a time to view the sublime colore, shapes, expression, to end all depression, this concession is made to not fade, but persuade one of the landscapes, scenario in stereo, of that moment in space to trace the place of the Divine, to not consign, but dine on the Beauty                                            by Bruce Wright

Demonstration in support of the people of Gaza

This Saturday, Jan. 3, 7:30pm (*note earlier time*)
2nd Avenue and 2nd Street, N in front of Baywalk
Downtown St. Petersburg [map]

Gaza support demonstration in St. Petersburg

As an occupying force, Israel is attempting to justify killing more than 400 Palestinians–a quarter of which are civilian–because of homemade rocket attacks that killed two Israelis in the past 12 months. Palestinians are legally allowed to resist an occupying force. The initial Israeli attack occurred while thousands of Palestinian children were walking home from school. An 18-month-long U.S. backed blockade has left victims in Gaza without proper medical supplies and necessities to attend to the wounded and the morgues have no more room for the dead. Meanwhile, American leadership remains either immorally silent or blames Palestinians for the attack.

Join ANSWER, Rise Up Tampa Bay, St. Pete for Peace and others as we peacefully protest the illegal occupation and murderous Israeli bombing of Gaza.  The protest will take place in front of Baywalk, located at 2nd Ave. and 2nd St., N in downtown St. Petersburg (map).  Directions from Tampa: Take I-275 South; Merge onto I-375E via Exit 23A on the Left toward BayWalk/The Pier; Stay Left on 4th Avenue N; Turn Right onto 2nd Street N; Turn Left onto 2nd Avenue N.   Paid parking is available across the street from Baywalk (entrance on 2nd Street N) (map).  (Some 90-minute street parking is also available).

pinellas underground gathering.

from Alison Lindberg:

Just wanted to write about our upcoming all Pinellas Underground Gathering in January.  We had talked this fall about the importance of something like this for our county and now we have worked to pick a date and have started to plan the event itself.

It will be Friday, January 16 at 7 pm and will be an underground gathering for all of the micro churches in Pinellas County. The evening will be
focused on gaining vision for reaching Pinellas county and a chance to gather for an opportunity to worship and encounter God together.

The meeting will be located at “the gathering”, a small venue in a strip mall located at: 9601 Bay Pines Boulevard in St. Petersburg. All micro
churches are invited to attend as well as individuals in Pinellas County who are interested in learning more about the underground and connecting to
a community. Please invite any and all of your friends who may be interested.

Hope you are all doing well and please forward this information on to anyone you would like to invite.

Sincerely,

Alison
